Estimator

Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the planning and bidding process for construction projects. Key responsibilities include:


  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors based on project plans and specifications.
  • Review drawings, blueprints, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Solicit and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to develop competitive project bids.
  • Analyze project risks, pricing, and cost trends to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Maintain estimating databases and historical cost records.
  • Assist in preparing bid proposals and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
  •   Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  •   Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  •   Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  •   Preferred proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, and InSite Elevation.
  •   Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience in the construction industry preferred
